Google Calendar iOS app leaks out ahead of an official launch

Google Calendar iOS app leaks out ahead of an official launch

Last year, during Google’s revamping of Android and many individual apps, the new Google Calendar was revealed with a ton of new features and a promise that, one day, it would launch for iOS.
The impending launch of a new Google stand-alone app isn’t that much of a surprise by itself, considering Google has a track record that extends quite far for launching these types of apps for Apple’s mobile operating system. That continues with the incoming Google Calendar, which, at least on Android, has plenty of worthwhile features like Schedule View and Assists.
Based on the leaked image, which was posted by The Next Web, it would appear that at least some of those features will make it into the new iOS app, which marks the first time a stand-alone Calendar app has launched from Google on iOS.
The new calendar app will pull photos and other information from Maps to populate entries with acquired information. Google has said that the new Calendar app is a bit smarter all around, and that it will all be a bit more automated. As far as a release date goes, that’s still up in the air as Google hasn’t made any announcements just yet.
