TypeTab lets you quickly enter the URL in new Safari tab [Jailbreak Tweak]

typeTab
Normally, when you tap on the ‘+’ button in Safari to open a new tab, you will be greeted with a default page that displays all your favorite and frequently visited webpages. TypeTab is a simple jailbreak tweak that lets you quickly enter an address in Safari when a new tab is launched.
The tweak automatically places a typing cursor in the address bar and launches the keyboard whenever a new tab is opened in Safari allowing you to quickly enter your search or URL without doing it manually. Not only this but the tweak also works when you launch the app and the default page is opened.
This will definitely save you some work as most of the times, you’ll want to enter an address after launching a new Safari tab rather than choose a favorite or frequently visited page.
After installing TypeTab, you can get started without configuring the tweak. Simply launch a new tab in Safari and you’ll notice that the tweak automatically inserts a cursor into the address bar and launches the keyboard to type in the search term or URL.
If you frequently browse the web using iOS Safari, you’ll appreciate the little feature offered by TypeTab. The developer also mentions that the tweak is compatible with both iPhone and iPad and if you have an external Bluetooth keyboard attached to your iOS device, TypeTab will work well with the keyboard shortcut that opens a new tab in mobile Safari.
To get your hands on the tweak, TypeTab can be download for free via Cydia’s BigBoss repo.

The Battery of Apple Watch can be replaced

“Well, when it comes to the battery at least, owners of Apple Watch will be able to extend its lifespan,” TechCrunch reports. “An Apple spokesman confirmed to TechCrunch the “battery is replaceable”.”

The question that remains is how you’ll get it replaced. We’re almost certain Apple won’t make it easy for users to do it themselves, so it will likely require a trip to the Genius Bar — and presumably you’ll need to pay for it if the device is more than a year old.
TechCrunch has asked Apple for clarification — and whether other components can be replaced or upgraded — but the company is yet to respond.
Nevertheless, it’s good to know that the Apple Watch’s battery can be replaced if necessary. While some may upgrade their wearable on a regular basis, many others won’t want to spend $349+ on a new Watch every year, in which case replacing an aging battery will be important.
A healthy Apple Watch battery should provide up to 18 hours of “mixed usage” in between charges. Apple says that’s roughly “90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth.”
Even if you use the device heavily, then, it should at least get you through your work day and into the evening hours before it needs recharging, but you’ll need to be careful about how you use the heart rate monitor, which appears to be one of its biggest battery drains.
Keep the heart rate monitor on while you’re working out and usage will drop to around 7 hours. Constant music playback will get you just 6.5 hours of use, and taking phone calls on the Watch itself drops battery life to just 3 hours.
Apple Watch will also have a Power Reserve mode, which can provide up to 72 hours of use on a full charge, but this restricts the device’s features so that it’s really only good for telling the time.

How to replace the stock Clock app icon with a digital clock icon

Digital Clock Icon Top
Digital Clock Icon is a new jailbreak tweak that does one thing: it changes the stock analog Clock app icon to that of a digital clock. But that’s not all. Along with the digital clock, you get an altimeter and a date reading. Digital Clock Icon may be a simple jailbreak tweak, but given its looks and feature-set, it’s sure to find users who value what it brings to the table.
See the video by idownloadblog:
Once you install the tweak, there are no options to setup or configure. In fact, there isn’t even a preference panel for the tweak to be found in the stock Settings app.
After respringing post installation, you’ll notice that the stock analog clock has been replaced with a clock of the digital variety. Above the clock’s time readout, you’ll find a current date reading—a feature that’s handy for those of you who choose to remove the stock Calendar app icon from the Home screen.
Oddly enough, you’ll also find a digital altimeter below the time readout. The altimeter reads the current altitude of your iPhone, and presents a readout to correspond to its current height. It’s a real-working meter, as you can see from our tests in the video above.
Digital Clock Icon may seem simple in nature, but I think it has enough features to warrant a strong look. Especially since it’s a free jailbreak tweak on the BigBoss repo.
Would you consider using it?
